PROJECT 1406: A new structure designed from the ground up on an existing slab. This 450sf guest house was inspired by the owners’ love of mid-century pieces and unique splashes of color. The existing concrete acts as the finished floor, a custom Douglas fir railing creates a separation of living and sleeping quarters, and the asymmetrical bookcase fills the room with warmth and storage. A full bath is tucked under the loft, complete with a refurbished 1960s vanity and geometric tile.
